Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry moves to October; 2020 Auburn football schedule released

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Auburn’s 2020 schedule is going to have a major difference.

In the schedule released by the SEC on Wednesday, Auburn’s rivalry game with Georgia has been moved to October, the first time since 1936. Georgia leads the all-time series 59-56-8. In response, Auburn’s game with LSU has been moved to November just prior to the Iron Bowl.

Auburn opens the 2020 season with a home game against Alcorn State followed by a trip to Atlanta to play North Carolina in the 2020 Chick Fil-A Kickoff Game. The SEC schedule will start with a road game against Ole Miss.

Auburn’s home schedule will feature Alcorn State, Southern Miss, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Arkansas, UMASS and LSU. Road games include Ole Miss, Georgia, Mississippi State and Alabama. Auburn’s bye week is Oct. 24.
