Auburn football’s defensive line recruiting is rolling; lands commitment from five-star defensive tackle

Auburn’s recruitment of defensive linemen rolls into December as the Tigers land a commitment from five-star defensive tackle Lee Hunter.

According to 247Sports Composite, Hunter is ranked as the No. 4 defensive tackle in the 2021 class and the No. 28 player nationally. Hunter is from Eight Mile, Alabama and plays at Blount High School.

Hunter is the fourth player to join Auburn’s 2021 class, which is ranked No. 8 nationally according to 247Sports.

Auburn has been successful in recruiting defensive linemen as of late, landing two commitments in November for the 2020 class. Most recently, on Nov. 29, four-star defensive end Zykeivous Walker committed. On Nov. 6, four-star defensive end Jay Hardy joined the class.

Auburn has three defensive linemen committed in the 2020 class, which is ranked No. 8 nationally according to 247Sports.

The early signing period takes place from Dec. 18 to Dec. 20.
