Sylacauga’s Darrian McElrath is this week’s Star Physical Therapy ‘Star Player of the Game’ for his performance Friday night.
If you listened to The Aggie Sports Network broadcast Friday night vs. Chilton County, you heard the name of Darrian McElrath, or his number 44, called throughout the entirety of the broadcast.
There may be no player more dominant on the team, regardless of position, than McElrath. In a position that gets overlooked often, McElrath continually makes key stops for Sylacauga and makes his presence known.
“Every time there’s a tackle you’re probably going to see ‘D Mac’ and his 44 jersey in the pile,” said The Aggie Sports Network sideline reporter Ashton Fowler. “He deserves the award this week, and may have deserved it after the Leeds victory.”
