Senior Kicker Cole Porch’s leg earned him Star Physical Therapy ‘Star Player of the Game’ honors Friday night.
In a blowout, 45-8 win over the rival Childersburg Tigers, Porch was a perfect 7-for-7 on kicks.
Porch went 6-6 on extra points and hit a a career long 41-yard field goal as time expired before halftime.
“Coach allowing me to kick that instantly boosted my confidence,” said Porch in the Star Physical Therapy ‘Star Player of the Game’ post game interview Friday night. “I feel confident inside of 50 [yards]. I practiced all week kicking from 60 [yards], 55 [yards], but I’m real confident inside of 50.”
Porch’s kick Friday night would have easily split the uprights outside of 50 yards.
