AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn softball will open Southeastern Conference play hosting in-state rival Alabama at Jane B. Moore Field as the league office released the full 2021 SEC schedule Friday.
The 2021 SEC softball conference schedule is made up of eight opponents per school for a three-game series for a total of 24 conference games. Games are scheduled to be played Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
One weekly conference series will be played Saturday/Sunday/Monday, with the Monday night game featured on the SEC Network. That announcement will come at a later date along with the full television slate.
There will also be an opportunity to make up postponed contests on May 3-5 as a midweek doubleheader.
All SEC programs will also compete in non-conference competition during the regular season. Auburn’s full non-conference slate will be announced at a later date.
“We are excited to play this spring and are thankful for all the hard work and commitment from the SEC, Auburn administration and our medical staff for this opportunity,” said head softball coach Mickey Dean. “Our team is looking forward to representing Auburn and our community. We are so excited to once again see and hear our amazing fans.”
Auburn will open conference play against Alabama over March 12-14. The Tigers will take a week break from league competition before hitting the road to face Missouri in Columbia, Mo., on March 26-28.
Returning to Jane B. Moore Field, Auburn is scheduled to host Arkansas on April 2-4 before trekking to College Station, Texas, to face Texas A&M on April 9-11. The Tigers will host Kentucky on April 16-18 and close out the month with a road series at Ole Miss on April 23-25.
The final home series of the 2021 season is set for April 30 – May 2 as the Tigers host Tennessee. Auburn will round out the regular season at LSU on May 7-9.
The 2021 SEC Softball Tournament is set for May 12-15 at Rhoads Stadium on the campus of the University of Alabama.
Television information, game times and safety/attendance policies will be announced at a later date. All dates are subject to change.
