Brooms out: Aggies sweep county volleyball tournaments

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga volleyball continues to impress.

This week the Aggies, from the middle school team to varsity, achieved a clean sweep of the county volleyball tournament.

Coach Rebecca Paterson left the court impressed with her programs after the varsity closed the sweep out on Saturday with wins over Talladega, Munford, B.B. Comer and Munford for a second time.

“There is a tremendous amount of fight and pride in our volleyball program,” she said. “All of our coaches do a great job, and they put our girls in a position to take home a few trophies this week. This week has been a building block for our teams.”

A clean sweep of the county tournament is rare. It hasn’t happened since 2015.
