Childersburg hires Nash as head softball coach; football offensive coordinator

CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Childersburg announced the hiring of its new head softball and offensive coordinator for football Monday morning,

On Facebook, the school posted it has hired David Nash to be the man in charge of leading the Lady Tigers’ program and will also be the skipper for the Tigers’ offense on the gridiron.

Nash spent last season coaching at Jemison. He also has coaching experience at Oxford and St. Clair County.

“All around, he has great character and is a great person,” Jonathan Beverly stated. Beverly is the director of athletics for Childersburg High School. “He is high energy with a passion for young people and athletics. We are excited for our softball girls and our football team.”

Beverly said Nash is already doing a great job with the football program’s offense and quarterbacks.

Tiger fans can get a glimpse of what Nash will bring to the table on Tuesday as many area schools will be at CHS for a 7-on-7 football tournament.
