Paterson to make debut as Aggie volleyball coach Thursday night

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sports are officially back tomorrow night as volleyball season begins at Sylacauga High School.

New head coach Rebecca Paterson, a former all-conference volleyball player at Bethel University in Tennessee, will make her debut in cardinal and white after being hired in June to lead the program.

“This team and our staff have worked tremendously hard to get better over the summer, and I think we have built a good foundation to get this season started,” said Paterson. “We are excited to compete this season, and even more excited to open the season on our home court.”

The Aggie Sports Network recently did a feature story highlighting Paterson, and how her players are adjusting to the coaching change. Watch the video below:

Paterson’s Aggies will face Jacksonville to start off the 2021 campaign. Matches for JV and Junior High start at 4:30. Varsity will follow at 5:30.
