Aggie Soccer downs Childersburg in rivalry game

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Both Sylacauga varsity girls and boys soccer teams defeated Childersburg 10-0 in a matchup on Thursday night.

The boys team had 10 goals scored (on 23 shots) with 8 assists in 43 minutes played.

“We played well. I hoped to use the game to work out some kinks in our overall gameplay, but with the way the game was going (in terms of scoring), it was difficult to get our team to remain disciplined in their quality of play,” said varsity boys head coach, Billy Faircloth “Childersburg is a rival, and you always want to beat your rival, so my guys took care of their end. For the guys, this was our only shot at playing Childersburg this season, and I wish their team the best on the rest of their season.”
