Alabama Football’s Carl Tucker Named to John Mackey Award Watch List

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama football’s Carl Tucker has been named to the 2020 John Mackey Watch List, announced today by the Friends of John Mackey.

The graduate transfer is among 36 candidates from around the country named to the preseason list.

Tight End, Senior

  • Graduate transfer tight end from North Carolina
  • Played four seasons in Chapel Hill, playing in 38 career contests for the Tar Heels
  • Recorded 549 yards and four touchdowns on 36 career receptions

The Mackey Award has been presented annually since 2000 by the Friends of John Mackey to recognize the top tight end in college football. The award is named in honor of former NFL Hall of Fame tight end John Mackey. The 2020 winner will be announced at the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show in December.
